Sustainability
For 9 Poly Fashion, the sustainability equation encompasses everything from the design of the product to the assembly of materials, fabric, dyeing, printing and sewing, shipping, selling and maintaining the product.
You can examine our sustainability approach in details on the titles below.
Environmentally Friendly Production
As 9Poly Fashion , we believe that one of the most important factors in sustainability is raw materials, and we provide the highest environmental impact with material choices.
While we always consider the conditions under which the materials and textile raw materials we use in our products are obtained, processed, what chemical and physical processes they require, and how recyclable they are, we are constantly in pursuit of better fabrics, better applications, better products. We aim to create products that reflect our responsibility towards our environment from the design stage to production.
Fair Production
Transparent supply chain is at the core of the way we do business. The textile industry, by its nature, includes multi-stage, complex production processes. These include purchasing fabrics, threads and materials, dyeing, printing, retouching, accessory production, cutting and sewing, final manufacturing and assembly steps. These are either made in manufacturing factories that offer end-to-end production, or by first-tier companies that do the final cutting and sewing, and outsource the other steps to subcontractors. In both cases, there is no oversight or transparency between subcontractors or suppliers.
Environmental Impact
We examine all our operational and administrative responsibilities towards the environment under the title of ‘Environmental Impact’. This includes assessing our daily impact as a team, such as how we use our studio kitchen or office equipment, as well as how we manage the environmental impact from our core business activities. It covers issues such as water use, carbon footprint, energy use, waste management, as well as climate, sustainability, and even our impact on life.
While we prefer environmentally friendly materials in our production processes, we do our best to reduce our carbon and greenhouse gas emissions, water and energy consumption, and we do not use pesticides.
We use fabric and FSC certified craft paper packages for the packaging of our products. We cooperate with UPS in our national sales to use their soluble plastic bags during shipping.
It is not enough to consider sustainability only in production, we focus on expanding our cooperation with local non-governmental organizations in order to compensate for some of the resources we use. For example, we plant trees every year to balance the carbon dioxide in the atmosphere against the emissions in our production and operational activities.
